Because I can't abandon Google Reader, I find it easy to avoid being swept up in the Google exodus. However, for lack of a better cliche, putting all your eggs in one basket is a bad idea.
I'd love to hear Julio Ojeda-Zapata's rebuttal to the recent experimentations in Google abandonment. I have anxiety attacks listening to Julio's well intentioned fervor for all things Google. One of these days, Google will screw Julio.
Hard.
DuckDuckGo already has ads. No personal targeting. You can turn them off in Settings.
Try searching eg. for "photoshop brushes" and you'll see a Sponsored Link. They used to have Carbon or something ads, but I can't see one now…
